SubTrack ("the app") · Last updated: September 11, 2026
SubTrack is a subscription tracker designed with privacy as a core principle.
This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and what rights you have.
By using SubTrack you agree to the practices described below.
1. The short version
Your subscription data never leaves your device. Everything you enter is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad. No account, no cloud database, no analytics, no tracking of your usage.
We never see, store or sell your subscription list, amounts, names or notes.
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob (see section 3).
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple — we never receive your payment details.
2. Information stored on your device
All information you create in SubTrack (subscriptions, prices, renewal dates, notes,
usage logs, shared-cost details, budget settings and preferences) is saved in a local
database on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. It is:
never transmitted to us or to any third-party server;
optionally protected by Face ID / Touch ID if you enable app lock;
included in your own iCloud/iTunes backups only if you enable device backup — that copy stays under your Apple ID and outside our reach;
shared only with the SubTrack home-screen widget through Apple's on-device App Group container, so the widget can display your totals.
3. Advertising (free version only)
The free version of SubTrack displays ads served by Google AdMob
(Google Mobile Ads SDK). If you upgrade to SubTrack Pro, all ads are removed permanently
and no ad requests are made.
To serve and measure ads, the SDK may process on your device:
device identifiers used for advertising (such as IDFA, where allowed by your settings);
IP address (truncated/anonymized where required);
device model, OS version, app version and coarse location derived from the IP address;
ad interaction events (impressions, clicks) for attribution via Apple's SKAdNetwork.
Consent (EEA/UK): on first launch, Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP)
asks for your consent before any personalized ad is shown. You can change or withdraw this
consent at any time from the in-app privacy/ad choices entry point or from your device settings.
Google's use of advertising data is governed by the
Google Privacy Policy.
You can also limit ad tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and reset your
advertising identifier there.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
SubTrack Pro is purchased through the Apple App Store using StoreKit.
The entire payment flow — including the 7-day free trial, billing, renewal and cancellation —
is handled by Apple. We only receive a non-identifying transaction confirmation from Apple
that unlocks Pro on your device. We never see your name, Apple ID, payment card or billing address.
5. On-device features that touch no server
Receipt scanning uses Apple's Vision framework entirely on-device. Photos you take are analyzed locally and are never uploaded or stored.
Renewal reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device — no push server is involved.
App lock uses the device's biometric hardware (Face ID / Touch ID) through Apple's LocalAuthentication framework; biometric data never leaves the device.
Currency conversion fetches public exchange-rate tables from a free, no-key API (open.er-api.com). The request contains only the base currency code — none of your data is sent.
6. What we do NOT collect
No account registration, email addresses or phone numbers.
No analytics, crash-reporting, fingerprinting or usage-tracking SDKs.
No bank, card or payment credentials.
No sale or sharing of personal data with data brokers.
7. Support contact
If you email us for support (support@subtrackpro.app), we receive your email address and the
contents of your message. We use this solely to answer your request and delete it when no longer
needed. Please do not send us sensitive financial documents.
8. Your rights and data deletion
Because your data lives on your device, you are always in control:
Delete everything: uninstalling the app erases all of its data from your device.
Delete selectively: remove any subscription, note or log inside the app at any time.
GDPR / CCPA rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability): since we hold no personal data on our servers, these rights are exercised entirely on your device as described above. For data processed by Google ads or Apple payments, please use their respective privacy tools linked in this policy.
9. Children's privacy
SubTrack is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and does not
knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app collects no personal data at all,
no children's data can be gathered by us.
10. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated
"Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will also notify you inside the app.
